This includes families struggling to pay for bills and food, people exiting jail, those wanting to overcome gambling addiction, and more.

After-Prison Support
This service supports people exiting prison who want to reintegrate into the local community.

Our after-prison services aim to address issues such as homelessness, social isolation, mental health, drug and alcohol use, employment, education, family relationships and financial hardships.

Disaster Recovery
Our Disaster Recovery volunteers help people when major emergencies occur. This could be bushfires, floods, storms and other disasters.
Who we assist
Samaritans Disaster Recovery teams assist the community during or following disasters and emergencies.
Services
Samaritans Disaster Recovery service, in partnership with the Anglican community, offers:
- Assistance in caring for individuals and communities affected by major emergencies
- Training to heighten the understanding of emergency management and disaster recovery
Local groups of trained volunteers – Samaritans Disaster Recovery Teams – play a vital role in delivering practical care and assistance to those affected by disasters.

Emergency Relief
Our Emergency Relief centres help people address their immediate basic needs in times of financial crisis. We may be able to help by providing food vouchers and food parcels, utility vouchers (electricity and gas), Telstra vouchers, chemist assistance as well as clothing and financial options support.
