Your time is one of the greatest gifts you can give. If you are passionate about making a difference in your local community, consider becoming a volunteer with Samaritans.
Samaritans volunteers are crucial team members within Samaritans services. As a volunteer you will join our volunteer community who support various programs and activities throughout Newcastle, Hunter, Central Coast and the Mid-North Coast regions of NSW.
“Being at home I was more isolated, but I’ve made friends here. It’s worked out really well for me, and I think a lot of us are the same. All the customers are so nice. They tell you a lot of the stuff going on in their life or their family, sometimes they’ve got no one to share it with. It’s good to hear their stories and what they’ve been doing. We all make the time to stop and have a chat.”
