The signs of domestic abuse aren’t always easy to identify.

The Oi Community has been developed to empower, educate and provide a safe space for young people who want to be a voice against abuse.

By joining the community you are standing up and shouting ABUSE IS NEVER OK!

Learn how to identify the signs, share important information with your friends and support your fellow Oi members in the fight against domestic violence.Take comfort knowing that as our Oi Community continues to grow, you are never alone.

Samaritans has supported women and children who are escaping domestic violence for many years in Newcastle and NSW. Family violence is the principle cause of homelessness for women & children in Australia.

This statistic demands change.

The cycle of abuse needs to stop.

We have developed a space for young people to join our fight and encourage you to take a stand.

About Oi

The Oi App was created by Samaritans in partnership with Optus and Headjam.

Samaritans worked closely with local young people to design Oi especially for them. The content, features and even the name of the app was chosen to connect with young people experiencing abuse and empower them to seek help.

Oi is a community for young people who are willing to be a voice against abuse.
