A new group has been formed through our NDIS Individual Supports. It encourages a safe space for likeminded men to build new connections and talk about their wellbeing and mental health – all while doing something they enjoy together.
The Newcastle group meets every Tuesday evening, with members putting together a monthly calendar based off their interests.
Activities have included going to the pub for dinner, playing pool, a barbecue by the lake, a games night at a member's house, catching the ferry across to Stockton and, of course, ending the night with an ice-cream treat.
The group, which has been named the ‘Wolf Pack’, is having a great time. Here is some feedback from their adventures so far:
Darrin – “It’s fun to have the guys over, they’re good guys.”
Paul – “I really enjoy it, it’s good company.”
Michael – “I’m enjoying it very much, it’s nice to get out of the house for a couple of hours and catch up with the guys.”
Wayne – “I enjoy the men’s club, it’s very entertaining. I like the people that I've met there. The guys that I go to the men’s group with are enjoyable to be around.”
