Safe space in Cessnock for vulnerable women

A free eight-week program will offer a supportive and informative environment for women who have experienced abusive and controlling relationships.

Samaritans has partnered with Carrie’s Place to provide the sessions every Thursday from 16th May to 4th July at the Samaritans Information and Neighbourhood Centre (SINC) in Cessnock.

Topics that will be covered include:

  • Healthy and unhealthy relationships
  • Boundary setting
  • Assertive communication
  • Impact of domestic and family violence
  • Human rights
  • Self-worth and your emotions.

The sessions will go from 10am to 12.30pm.
