Samaritans Start Strong program plans and facilitates activities within the community that support educational engagement. The program aims to build family knowledge and understanding of children’s development and the importance of play.

Services
Start Strong offers the following services:
- Supported play sessions - flexible, free play sessions for children aged 0-6 in community facilities, in parks, or other suitable local venues. All play sessions are facilitated by experienced educators and offer fun, creative activities for children and parents/carers. They provide are an opportunity to:
- Increase social connectedness and understanding of play based learning and child development,
- Develop parents confidence in meeting the needs of their children and the importance of engagement in main stream early learning services.
- Individual support to navigate opportunities for engagement in educational programs in local communities.
Who we assist
Our service can assist families with children aged 0 – 6 years in Taree, Cessnock, Bateau Bay and The Entrance.
