Taree Women’s Refuge

Taree Women’s Refuge provides crisis accommodation and outreach to women and their children. It is staffed by women with more than 15 years of combined experience. The Taree Women’s Refuge assists single women and women with children who have experienced, or are experiencing, domestic violence.

Samaritans has operated the Taree Women’s Refuge since late 2014 when changes were made in the delivery of domestic violence and homeless services under the State Government’s Going Home Staying Home reforms.

In addition, a separate service, The Great Lakes Manning Homeless Support Service, has been created that offers help to women, men and children facing homelessness in the local area.
