There’s still time to support Samaritans Christmas Appeal

Samaritans launched its annual Christmas Appeal in November, decorating a Christmas Tree at Samaritans Student Accommodation building in Wickham.

The decorations will help bring Christmas cheer to the young people who live at the Student Accommodation building.

Cec Shevels, Samaritans Chief Executive said, “At Samaritans, we go the extra mile at Christmas time. We try to ensure that the joy of Christmas reaches everyone, particularly the lonely, the homeless and the marginalised.”

“This year the appeal is aiming to raise $120,000 to support and bring hope to young people throughout the region,” he said.

In the days leading up to Christmas and even after Christmas we often see local families in need requiring extra assistance to the relieve financial pressures associated with the holiday season.

If you haven’t donated to Samaritans Christmas Appeal 2015 yet we kindly ask that you consider donating to help people in need in our community experience the joy of Christmas.

Donations will help us to provide financial assistance, food and vouchers to the people who need it the most.

The Samaritans Christmas Appeal will run until December 31. Contributions can be made through the online donation page.
