Fair Trading NSW Hosts a Lunch for NDIS Participants

To mark Fair Trading Week and give back to the people we support, Fair Trading NSW hosted a lunch for people supported by Samaritans NDIS services last week.

Over 30 people we support joined in the occassion. It was a great opportunity to socialise and connect with people from other services.

Samaritans has built a strong rapport with Fair Trading NSW and they have been instrumental in guiding us in regards to our service agreements and tenancy agreements for our disability services. Fair Trading is an important additional resource for Samaritans participants should they be concerned about their supports and the event provided a great opportunity for people we support to ask questions and seek information.

Tess Parker, the Regional Coordinator from Fair Trading NSW, presented each guest with a show bag with resources and credit card protectors to help protect against card detail theft. Samaritans Executive Manager, Service Design and Delivery, Glenda Buckley, highlighted the value of partnership and collaboration between Samaritans and government bodies to focus on the best outcomes for people we support.

Thank you to Fair Trading NSW for kindly provided all of the food and the chefs for the barbeque!
