Christmas Appeal 2015 Launched
We have offically launched our 2015 Christmas Appeal focussing on the need to support young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in our region.
To mark the launch of the Appeal Samaritans was joined by residents of Samaritans Student Accommodation, Lord Mayor Nuatali Nelmes and community members to decorate the student accommodation building in Wickham. Samaritans spoke of the importance of the community supporting young people who are experiencing homelessness this festive season.
This year the Appeal aims to raise awareness of the many people, and young people, in our region who are at risk of homelessness.
The Appeal hopes to raise $120,000 to go towards helping young people at risk of homelessness as well as a number of other Samaritans services including our Emerency Relief Centres.
