Beauty and the Beast: charity night

Metropolitan Players is supporting Samaritans this year with a charity opening night of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast on Wednesday 14 August at Civic Theatre, Newcastle at 7:30pm.

Beauty and the Beast tells the story of a cold-blooded prince who has been magically transformed into an unsightly creature as punishment for his selfish ways. To revert into his true human form, the Beast must first learn to love a bright, beautiful young woman whom he has imprisoned in his enchanted castle before it is too late. For the spell to be broken, she must love him in return.

All your favourite songs from the animated movie are in the stage show, including: Be Our Guest, Beauty and the Beast, Belle, Something There and Home; as well as all the characters like the Beast, Belle, Gaston, Lumiere, Cogsworth, Mrs Potts, Chip and Lefou.

Tickets for the charity night are on sale now at $50.00 pp for the first 40 buyers. After this, tickets will be $62.00, so get in quick! Tickets are available via Samaritans Reception, Warabrook on 4960 7100. Over the phone payments are available, as well as mailing and pick-up options.

A percentage of every ticket sold will help Samaritans services to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable people.

Tickets supporting Samaritans are only available for Opening Night of the show (Wednesday 14 August).
