Charity Night: We Will Rock You

The charity opening night of Metropolitan Player’s production of WE WILL ROCK YOU will be held on Wednesday 22 August at Civic Theatre, Newcastle at 8pm.

Following the success of Metropolitan Player’s 40th anniversary production of “Les Miserables” in 2017, prepare to be rocked off your seats with their 2018 production of “We Will Rock You”. We invite you to join Samaritans on this special night to support our work, helping those in need in our local community.

“We Will Rock You” is a musical based on the songs of British rock band Queen with a book by Ben Elton. It tells the story of a group of Bohemians who struggle to restore the free exchange of thought, fashion and live music in a distant future where everyone dresses, thinks and acts the same. Musical instruments and composers are forbidden and rock music is all but unknown.

The musical premiered on the West End in London in 2002 and ran for over a decade. With Queen hits like Radio Gaga, I Want To Break Free, Somebody To Love, We Are The Champions, We Will Rock You, and of course Bohemian Rhapsody, it is a guaranteed great night out at the theatre.

Tickets are $61.30 each and a percentage of every ticket sold will help Samaritans services to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable people.

Tickets for the charity night can be purchased from Ticketek: online, over the phone by calling 49291977 or in person at the Civic Theatre box office. You must mention Samaritans when booking or select ‘Samaritans Admit’ when purchasing your ticket online for opening night on the Ticketek website.

Tickets supporting Samaritans are only available for Opening Night of the show (Wednesday 22 August).
