Crisis Appeal COVID-19

Due to the pandemic, Samaritans has seen a significant decrease in the donation of food and essential items to our Emergency Relief services.

We have also had to cancel our winter food drive in local shopping centres which usually provides us with thousands of items and tinned food.

Without these vital supplies, keeping our shelves stocked during winter is going to be difficult, right when vulnerable locals need our help the most.

With school closures, job disruptions, and health risks, thousands of locals will turn to Samaritans for much-needed support. We need your help.

What we’re using these funds for

All funds raised from this appeal will be used to restock our shelves with food, toiletries and sanitary items and keep our emergency relief centres operating this winter.

We know that it is difficult to shop and drop items to us at this time, so we have turned our food drive digital! Your donation will be used to purchase basic necessities like sanitary items, toilet paper, soap, tinned food, pasta, rice, and baby food where and when it is needed.

These items will then be distributed to people living with a disability, those who have lost their income, women and children escaping domestic violence and others impacted by the pandemic.

These are tough times. We are all fearful for ourselves, for our families and our friends. But imagine if instead of responding by hoarding items for ourselves, each of us responded by giving generously. Can you please give generously to Samaritans and reach families and locals in need that urgently need your help?
