Collectors Care: the community cares
Next week Samaritans will open the doors to our 11th Collectors Care Art Exhibition.
Each year over 30 dedicated artists willingly donate their time and talent to participate in the collaborative exhibition. A commission of 35% of each art work sold is generously donated to Samaritans to continue our work helping people in need. The event truly encapsulates the idea of people helping people – artists utilising their talent to help those who are doing it tough.
Year after year the generous spirit of the artists, our kind sponsors and those who visit the Exhibition, showcases the compassion in our community.
It is events such as these, which combine an appreciation of talent with recognition of our responsibility to help those less fortunate, that truly make a difference. I welcome you come along and join us on Opening Night, Wednesday 5thApril 6pm-8pm at Newcastle Art School (TAFE) 582 – 608 Hunter st, Newcastle West.
Don’t miss out on this opportunity to participate in your community, support locals in need and appreciate the talent of a variety of artists.
Samaritans is a charity that assists thousands of people in need throughout Newcastle & the Hunter.
