Disability Services - In Home

Outreach (In Home) Support
Samaritans provides services to people with a disability who are living in their own homes. Often these people have carers who may be ageing or they may require additional support as their own needs change.

Samaritans and MaiWel formed a partnership in September 2002 to provide accommodation outreach services extensively across the Central Coast, Upper and Lower Hunter, Newcastle and Port Stephens areas.

Who Can Use These Services?
People who require in home support are referred to Samaritans and MaiWel by the Department of Ageing, Disability and Home Care.

Where Are The Outreach Services?
People receiving accommodation outreach are located across the entire region, including Gosford, Wyong, Lake Macquarie, Cessnock, Maitland, Port Stephens, Dungog, Singleton, Scone, Merriwa, Murrurundi, Muswellbrook and Newcastle local government areas.

How Can I Find These Services?
Referral forms are available from Samaritans on 02 4960 7100 (ask for the Disability Services Programme Manager); through MaiWel on 02 4932 8599 and directly from the Department of Ageing, Disability and Home Care on 02 4927 8422.
