St. Peter’s Emergency Relief Centre is celebrating its 20 years of service to the community.

The choir has launched two CDs and this year, with the aid of a Local Government grant commissioned a work ‘Molly Morgan’ by Maitland composer, Gilbert Beveridge.
Counterpoint performs throughout the Hunter Valley mainly to help with fundraising for various organisations and churches. In 2010 Counterpoint together with The Newcastle Tudor Singers presented ‘The Best of The Messiah’, also in St. Peter’s Church East Maitland.
The concert in August will include ‘Molly Morgan’, accompanied by the composer as well as spirituals, folk songs and Broadway musicals.
