Bequests
You, Your Family and Samaritans
We all usually want a number of people to benefit from the legacy we can leave behind.
First will be your immediate family; next, your other family members and close friends.
Beyond that, many people wish to leave a living legacy that will keep their memory alive for generations to come. By nominating Samaritans, the welfare work of our Anglican Church is supported in our local area.
For more information on how you can donate to Samaritans via a bequest, you can download the Bequest Brochure.
Satisfaction
People who leave a legacy in their Will to Samaritans receive the satisfaction that they will go on helping people far into the future. Bequests are invested and interest from the income is used in perpetuity for the benefit of local people. For example, the Dean Bequest provides the income for the Western Corridor Service, providing real, hands on assistance to families in need by a qualified social worker.
Help for all people
Samaritans cares for people in need from before birth to old age. Our mission is to support the disadvantaged and marginalised, those who fall through the cracks of our increasingly more demanding society.
We care for families and single parents with new children, provide child care services, work on programmes for primary school children and adolescents in behaviour management, crisis assistance and family reconnections. Other services work with the homeless and people with disabilities. Innovative programmes work to provide clients with meaningful employment and training opportunities or those leaving prison to re-integrate into society. Yet other programmes work to provide companionship to the elderly and lonely.
